NEW! Jane Austen 250 Commemorative Bookplate
To commemorate the 250th anniversary of Jane Austen’s birth, this bookplate represents Jane’s most famous and popular novel, Pride and Prejudice.
Featuring the beautiful artwork from our commemorative publication of Pride & Prejudice, this bookplate is inspired by a page in long-time volunteer and Foundation Ambassador Julia Grantham's book Mr. Darcy's Guide to Pemberley. Julia worked with artist Lena Tarnovski to create a beautiful new cover for Pride & Prejudice, created especially for our celebration of Jane Austen's 250th birthday.
This year's Collectable Bookplate is a vibrant image based on that artwork, and we hope you will love it as much as we do.
A Jane Austen 250 Commemorative bookplate is £7.50 / US$10.50 / AU$15

Bookplates are a traditional way to indicate ownership of books
The bookplates of Jane Austen’s father George and brother Edward
Bookplates were commonly used in Jane Austen's time, when books were expensive, precious and often lent to others. It was important that the owners name was clearly marked. We love bookplates and our collection continues the meaningful custom of marking the most important books in your libraries with personalised bookplates.
Bookplates are not so commonly used today, but can play an important role in teaching our children the value of books and stimulate conversation about which are your favourite books and why. You can also enjoy the sheer pleasure of marking one of your favourite books with a choice of bookplates, beautifully designed by artists, personalised with your name in Jane Austen’s handwriting.
